Chase Tallman is a Protagonist in the Shadow Falls: After Dark series. He is a Reborn vampire at Shadow Falls Academy and worked as an agent for the Vampire Council before shifting to work as an agent for the FRU. He is in a relationship with Della Tsang.

Reborn

Chase is the new vampire at camp with many secrets. Della doesn't trust him. He shows up many times around her and eventually lands the spot as her partner on an FRU case.
After the case is solved, he leaves but not before he explains himself. He works for the Vampire Council and came to Shadow Falls to look for someone. That person turns out to be Della Tsang, who is about to undergo the rebirth transformation. To make sure she survives the transformation, Chase "bonds" with her, which is a blood transfusion, meant for people who have an unbreakable bond like identical twins or soulmates. After this, he leaves camp again.
Eternal

Chase and Della team up once again for another FRU case, with the help of the Vampire Council. As they work together, their bond gets stronger, as well as dealing with a less-than-helpful ghost. It is later revealed to Della that Chase works with Della's uncle, Feng Tsang.

Chase saves Miranda, Tabitha and Anthony from a gang of dangerous vampires and an evil witch.
Unspoken

After officially joining the FRU, Chase is determined to win Della's trust back. With his new motto of never lying to Della again, he gets put into a predicament where he must choose how to handle a situation that can put a damper on his relationship with Della forever or his relationship with Eddie (Feng), a father figure who took him in after his family had died in a plane crash.
Fighting Back

Chase, Della and Burnett go on a rescue mission with Kylie when she tells Burnett that Lucas is about to be killed. They arrive in time to arrest the culprits.
Midnight Hour

Chase works with Lucas, Burnett, Shawn and Perry in protecting Lily Chambers and trying to apprehend Jax Bowen while also locating Tabitha Evans after she ran away with Anthony Bastin. When Chase is tasked with shadowing Miranda Kane along with Kylie and Della, Chase and Kylie get tranquilized. When he comes to, Miranda has run away to save her sister. Chase arrives eight hours later after Miranda stopped the rogue warlock coven that held her sister captive.
He is present during the Shadow Falls graduation ceremony.
Physical Appearance
Chase is tall and broad-shouldered with jet-black hair, pale green eyes, and a muscular chest. He has a heart-shaped birthmark under his armpit.
Personality
Chase is very much like Della; a bit temperamental, incredibly stubborn, and witty, but also secretive. He holds himself at arm's length from others in fear that he will lose them like he lost his family. He surrounds himself with those he holds near and dear and comes off as a mysterious person to avoid attention to his enhanced powers. Chase is a sarcastic and caring individual, who still grieves and is angry for his lost family and is very sensitive about their deaths.
He enjoys bird watching as a hobby taught by his late mother.

Relationships
Romantic
- Della Tsang: Della is Chase's love interests. In Reborn, they work together on a murder case for the FRU. Della later finds out that Chase is a Reborn vampire and ends up being bonded to him against her will. Della tries to fight the bond between them but eventually gives in, with the Vampire Council (which Chase works for) they work on another case. They are currently in a relationship.

Friendships
- Feng Tsang: Mentor and surrogate father. Feng helped him throughout his grief and transition as a vampire. Though they share different views about the supernatural world, they still for each other deeply. Chase sees him as a father figure.
- Burnett James: Mentor and superior. Burnett is extremely hard on him, especially where Della is concerned. Chase comes to respect him.
- Perry Gomez: Co-worker.
- Lucas Parker: Co-worker.
- Liam Jones: They met and became friends after Chase saved him and Natasha from starving to death.
- Natasha Owen: They met and became friends after Chase saved him and Natasha from starving to death.
- Kirk Curtis: Friends. Kirk was there for Chase when he was transitioning into a vampire and grieving the loss of his family. Though a good friend to Chase, Kirk's methods of concealing secrets and asking Chase to kill someone to protect those secrets has made a strain on their relationship.
Other relationships
- Steve: Former love rival. They both vie for Della's affection, with Steve eventually coming to terms with the fact that Chase cares for Della more than he does.
