FRU
Fallen Research Unit, better known by its acronym "FRU", is a branch of the federal government that supervises and governs supernaturals. Their job is to maintain the secrecy of the supernatural world from humans and solve criminal cases related to supernatural criminals.
Operation
The organization enforces the law on supernaturals and has connections with several councils, albeit frail. When criminal gangs are at work, they send undercover agents to infiltrate to find evidence. If a supernatural murder has been committed, they will arrange to make it look like an accident to avoid suspicion from the general public while working to bring the culprit to justice. They send supernaturals to work in the local police departments to keep tabs on crime activities that relating to supernaturals.
The FRU governs Shadow Falls Camp Academy and its connections, and are in communication with several supernatural councils, and recently the chameleon elders.
They also carry special equipment in dealing with supernatural criminals, such as electric cuffs and anti-shapeshifting suits.
History
In the 1960s, the FRU was experimenting on chameleons to understand how their powers worked and why they existed. When the experiment went bad and their subjects died, they covered it up. This forced the rest of the chameleons to go into hiding for over fifty years.
In the 2000s, they tried to experiment on Reborn vampires. When the Vampire Council refused to comply, they sent in agents to steal files, but the mission went bad the lab was destroyed in an explosion, which killed a scientist named Kirsha Tsang.
