Whispers at Moonrise

Almost immediately after arrival, Nikki develops a crush on Perry Gomez. Even though he was in a relationship with Miranda Kane, Nikki wasn't dissuaded. Kylie Galen tried to advise her against pursuing Perry, but she brushed her off.
Chosen at Nightfall

Nikki continues pursuing Perry. One day, while pairing up students for Campmate Hour, Nikki makes a deal with Chris Whitmore to get paired with Perry. When their names are announced, Nikki confidently approaches Perry, but then a very jealous Miranda turns her into a kangaroo and hexes her with pimples covering all over her body. Kylie convinces her to lift the spell. Having become the object of ogling and humiliation, Nikki runs away in tears.
Perry later speaks with Nikki to make his feelings clear, and Nikki stops pursuing him from then on.
