Katie is a teacher at Fallen High School, and acquaintance with Brandon and Linda Hart.

Katie runs into Brandon Hart at a hardware store. Brandon had previously contacted her as a character witness for him hiring Fredericka Lakota. He assumed she went to her school. When Katie doesn't recall the name, she tells him about Shadow Falls Academy and warns him to stay away from those kids.
