Animal Communication is a gift that a selected few have to communicate with animals.

Overview

Faes

Depending on their lineage and skill level, certain faes can sense the animals' feelings and thoughts, while others can communicate with them. Empathic faes can feel also and influence their emotions.

Werewolves

Prominent werewolves of the pack hierarchy have a limited version of this ability: they can draw wolves and other canines to them. They can also understand the animals better by instinct, and assert dominance over them due to their status as supernatural predators (it doesn't work on felines though, as they have a natural aversion to werewolves).

Born at Midnight

Derek has used this power numerous times. One time to inadvertently sense the presence of a water moccasin next to Kylie; the next to keep a lion from attacking them; and then to talk to the lion to find out why it was in Kylie's bedroom.

Awake at Dawn

While running in the woods, Kylie comes across a wolf that seems to take a liking to her.

Whispers at Moonrise

Hannah Brandon mentions sensing Socks' feelings about wanting to be a cat again.

Chosen at Nightfall

While sneaking into Mario Esparza's estate to save her mother, Kylie encounters a dog that helps her sneak inside.

Fighting Back

Lucas Parker comes across a coyote pack that protects him from the dangerous pursuit of Jeremiah Holmes and Sabastian Rozo. When Kylie comes to save him, she comes across the pack and they guide her to him.

Variations

Animal Control

The supernatural ability to bend wild or domestic animals to the user's will and make them do their bidding. Normally, you can only control one species at a time.
